THE EXQUISITE WHAT?

The Exquisite Chess Project is an experiment in artistic creativity derived from a centuries-old practice in which an artist would begin a painting, then pass it to a fellow artist who would add a bit of his own creativity to the painting, and then pass it on to another artist, and so on. This cooperative experiment was known as "The Exquisite Corpse".

Here, like its more recent predecessor, The Exquisite Pinball Project, Strata artists have each completed a unique animation revolving around a central theme. All of the pieces have then been stitched together to form the single 3D showpiece, The Exquisite Chess Project.
